Welcome!

Welcome to my campaign website. Please click on the links to the left to learn more about me and my bid to be reelected to the Glendale Community College Board of Trustees, and make sure to check the endorsements page for new endorsements.

For the last six years, I've had the opportunity of bringing my passion for education and attention to detail to the GCC Board as a leader and as a team member. During this time, I have contributed immensely to the Board’s accomplishments, including the hiring of Dr. Dawn Lindsay as the College's new Superintendent/President, the establishment of a 5% reserve to insure fiscal solvency, the construction of a new building at Garfield Campus, where I acted as one of two Board liaisons to the construction task force, and where, due to my his guidance, the building was chosen as one of only five community college projects in the State of California to be design-built, and is being built to LEED Green Building standards, and the launch of Verdugo Power Academy, a collaboration between GCC, the Verdugo Workforce Investment Board, and Glendale Water and Power.

Upon reelection to the GCC Board of Trustees, I pledge to continue my leadership in

  • The development of an Online program at the College.
  • Innovative solutions to lowering textbook costs, including the use of open source textbooks.
  • Accommodating as many students as possible and offering the maximum number of classes despite economic hardship due to cuts in state funding.
  • Diversification of faculty and staff to reflect diversity of Glendale community while maintaining
quality of instruction and services at the College
  • Collaboration with state and federal legislators to increase community college funding.
